My Hope

My Hope like the song writer Edward Mote -- "My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus blood and righteousness: I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the Solid Rock I stand All other ground is sinking sand."

James Melvin Washington wrote, "My grandmother used to tell me that every boss is temporary, that every rainy day is temporary, that every hardship is temporary. She used to tell me. 'Son, every good-bye ain't gone. Just hold on - there's joy coming in the morning.' "

I love Amy Carmichael poems she wrote on HOPE.

"Hope though me, God of Hope,
Or never can I know
Deep wells and living streams of hope,
And pools of overflow.

Flood me with hope today
For souls perverse, undone,
For sinful souls that turn away,
blind sunflower, from their Sun.

O blessed Hope of God,
Flow through me patiently,
Until I hope for everyone
As thous hast hoped fore me."

Hi Granny,

Temporary is a good description of this world. I like the "just hold on--there's joy comeing in the morning"
